Project Forwarding

Project Coordination

The steps involved in the movement of major plant and equipment items can be quite daunting when you consider the different aspects of risk management. It is our task to identify exactly what risks and uncertainties are being undertaken. Key decisions have to be coordinated and implemented to achieve a balance between projected and actual costs. It is also important to establish specifically what is within the control of all parties involved in the process. Allfreight International has been assisting companies with their project coordination since 1976 and is a leader in the field.

International Cargo Consolidation

If you have multiple suppliers in Europe, USA and Asia, we can arrange your cargo  to be collected from each supplier as required, transported to a central point and consolidated into containers. Or, in the case of project, over-dimensional or heavy lift cargo, we call arrange part or full charter for shipment by either air or sea freight. In Australia, this may include domestic transportation, heavy lift transportation and supervision.

Customs Brokerage

Allfreight International has the objective to ensure that the least legal amount of Customs duty and GST are paid upon importation. We can assist in the preparation of applications for Enhanced Project By Law (EPBL), which are available for imported items with a project value in excess of A$10 million to certain industries. We can also make application for tariff advices to determine tariff item and concession eligibility, which we recommend prior to importation on major capital equipment.

Feasibility Studies

Allfreight International is frequently called upon to provide route surveys and detailed feasibility or preliminary development of scoping studies on behalf of our clients. We investigate the project logistics or feasibility of delivering major plant items or complete plants into or out of Australia, or to remote locations in the world. In recent years we have assisted many Australian and overseas domiciled companies in the delivery of equipment with particular requirements such as DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) or DDP Delivered Duty Paid) into and out of Australia.
